Veterans

We provide supported housing to vulnerable ex-Armed Forces Personnel

It is estimated that about 7,000 veterans are homeless in Britain and over 1,000 are homeless in London.

Aves Housing provides affordable, high-quality housing and support services and has 250 beds in London. Our partnerships with other housing providers bring 5 new bed spaces each month and these are dedicated to the men and women who served and are now homeless.  Our project is lead by Liam who has intimate knowledge of being an ex-squaddie facing homelessness.

Housing

We have a number of projects in the Croydon, Wandsworth and Lambeth that we have dedicated to providing supported housing for Veterans.

Our projects enable vulnerable and disabled Veterans to lead fulfilling, independent lives.

A limited number of our projects are pet-friendly.

Veterans Coordinator and Project Leader: Liam

Liam served 20 years for his country in the Armed forces which included several tours.  Shortly after leaving the army he became homeless.  Diagnosed with PTSD Liam knows exactly what the challenges are following a life in the army. Liam came to Aves Housing in April 2016 and immediately set a plan for us to provide specialist support for ex-squaddies.

He now leads the Veterans Supported Accommodation project.
