Day Centres in London

Homeless people, particularly those sleeping rough, often need shelter during the day and other help and support. In London, there are around 52 day centres for homeless people that are run by charities and provide a range of help such as food, showers and laundry facilities. Most day centres also provide advice and other support e.g. around employment and training, alcohol, drugs and mental health.
Although the services may vary in what they call themselves (e.g. day centre, community centre or drop-in centre), they are all building based services, normally open for at least one session a week. There are, of course, many other day centre and drop-in services in London for other vulnerable or socially excluded people (e.g. people with mental health problems or older people). We have added the most popular centres below.
